Beautiful words, a good reminder that beauty can sometimes be a burden. Every man knows men who have taken their own lives - we need to wake up to that suffering
Absolutely horrific and sad. I am sorry that you have lost someone that touched your life.
This is the world lately, so many people choosing to die, so many more suffering alone. I didn't know this boy, but I have known quite a few people to have taken their lives in the last few years. To me it feels like the pandemic made it clear how much harder it is to survive and feel good and fulfilled. Some of it is the state of politics and how backwards everything seems to be moving. I truly think that social media and mobile computing devices are pulling people away from personally interacting with each other in a meaningful way. Same for texting, and simply not wanting to interact with other people IRL. I see the youts at work (and just everywhere) are drowning in ennui. They have no enthusiasm about the world around them or what they might do with their lives, and it is disturbing.
Thank you. I like to write in the moment and just post. This was a rare time when I then, a couple hours later, saw that IG photo and thought it was Pepe to the core, so I had to add it. Thanks.
What a lovely tribute.
Thank you.
Beautiful piece
Thanks, David.

The crescendo you reached at the end slayed me. And then that IG photo. God.
RIP, Pepe.
Life is so strange.
